ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY AND GENERAL PRINCIPLES

We value eco-friendly and sustainable thinking. Based on our surrounding environment, people’s awareness, and their values, environmental friendliness is becoming increasingly important. We are also moving in this direction to ensure our daily operations are more sustainable and leave a smaller footprint. The V Spa Hotel complex includes a hotel, conference center, restaurant, and café. Each department approaches eco-conscious thinking and actions differently. Below are the key principles we have set as daily goals for our company:

• Adhering to environmental laws, recommendations, and developments – We are so compliant that even our office plants are up to date with the latest regulations.
• Reducing water consumption by using it efficiently – We try to avoid washing dishes with a single drop, but we know water is more precious than gold (and tastes better too!).
• Lowering electricity and heating energy use – If you’re wondering why we wear sweaters in winter, it’s simple: we save energy and step out of our comfort zone.
• Reducing packaging waste – Less packaging means fewer fun cardboard boxes for cats, but we’re saving the planet.
• Reducing paper use – Goodbye “forgetful paper notes,” hello digital reminders – our sticky notes are now in the cloud, not on the floor.
• Sorting waste – Sorting waste is like a home sport where plastic and paper aren’t friends, but rivals.
• Using environmentally friendly cleaning agents – Our cleaning service is so green that even spiders approve.
• Using high-quality and, where possible, local raw materials – No, we don’t personally visit the pasture every morning, but we’re close. Local produce is our ace.
• Selling and using only eco-labeled and natural products – There’s no room for chemicals on our shelves – just pure and natural goods because we care (and want to stay healthy too).
• Supporting the circular economy – If something can be reused, we’ll use it at least three times. Our motto: what goes around, comes around.
• Promoting a smoke-free environment – Our smoke-free policy is so convincing that even smoking appliances are considering a career change.
• Training and educating staff and guests on sustainable practices – Our environmental training sessions are so inspiring that even printers feel guilty.
• Providing employees with a diverse and safe work environment – We foster an open and positive atmosphere where everyone feels included and valued. Our workplace embraces diversity – everyone has a role, and no one is left out (except maybe the occasional coffee cup).
• Promoting and valuing active outdoor movement – Our team is so active that even the elevator feels neglected. If you see us holding meetings on a park bench or walking, know that’s our new mobile office.

WASTE SORTING

At V Spa Hotel, we care about the planet as much as your holiday, so we’ve created an easy and fun system for sorting waste properly.

On the first and second floors, you’ll find bins for different types of waste:

• Glass packaging – Bottles, jars, and everything else glass (unbroken, please!).
• Plastic, metal, and drink cartons – For anything without a soul but with recycling potential.
• Mixed waste – Everything that doesn’t fit the above categories.
• Cardboard and paper packaging – Don’t throw away books, but everything else cellulose-based is fine.
  

On the third and fourth floors, near the elevators, you’ll find bins for mixed waste.

In hotel rooms and bathrooms, life is made easy – there are bins for mixed waste.

Batteries and e-cigarettes?
Don’t worry, we’ll take care of them! Leave them in your room, and our housekeeping team will handle it. If you’re extra diligent, you can drop old batteries and accumulators at reception or in the special collection box in the Kvartal center.

Bulky or biodegradable waste?
Brought pumpkin peels from home? Or something equally unusual? Call our housekeeping team or contact reception – we’ll find a solution together.
